Statement of Faith / Hvad tror vi på?
POWERHOUSE CHURCH is a fellowship of believers who believes in:
1. The POWER of the WORD
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. 2. Tim 3;16, 2 Pet 1;21, Hebr 4;12. We believe that we should not only speak the Word but that we also should live the Word.
2. The POWER of GOD
We believe that There is ONE GOD, the powerful and almighty Creator of the Universe, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit. Deut 6;4, Matt 28;19
3. The POWER of JESUS CHRIST
We believe that God manifested himself through our LORD JESUS CHRIST, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His victorious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right Hand of the Father, His personal future return to this earth in POWER and glory. John 3;16, Matt 1;18-20,
4. The POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it, with the evidence of “speaking in tongues” and in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a HOLY LIFE. We believe that we all should receive POWER through the Holy Spirit. Acts 1;18, Mark 16;17
5. The POWER of FELLOWSHIP
We believe in church as a strong fellowship among the first disciples, sharing and caring for one another, giving and receiving, according to Acts 2,42-47, meeting on a regular basis, sharing the Word, having communion, praying and worshipping together etc. We believe that every believer has and is a contributing part of the Body of Christ. All are important in God´s eyes and all work together to establish His Kingdom in the earth. Rom 12;3-8, 1 Cor 12;14-27, Eph 4;16.
6. The POWER of LOVE
As believers we are obligated to reach out and to bring the love of God to all mankind not only in Words but also in deeds by reaching out to the poor, the hungry, the sick, the homeless, the prisoners, the least and the lost. We acknowledge that faith is active in love and that God has called us to share his love in a practical way. Matt 25;43-44.
7. The POWER of GIVING
For God so loved the World that he GAVE his only begotten Son. We are his children, so giving should be a natural part of the Christian life. It is better to give than to receive and we believe that God will bless a joyful giver. Giving includes both tithing, offerings and arms. Mal 3;8-12, Acts 10:4, Luk 6;38.
8. The POWER of FORGIVENESS
We believe that we should live everyday in forgiveness, right with God and right with man and that we should strive to live in peace, unity and forgiveness with everybody as much as we can. We believe that we by forgiving others can receive forgiveness ourselves and that we through forgiveness can set ourselves free from the pains of our past. Matt 6;12, Matt 11:26
9. The POWER of RESTORATION
All things are possible through Jesus Christ since God does not show favoritism. He has given us POWER to become. We believe that people can be fully restored in their body soul and spirit through the POWER of His blood unto Salvation and we believe in the POWER of His name – to preach the good news unto salvation, healing and deliverance to all mankind. John 1;12, Rom 2:11, 1 Cor 1;18, Acts 4;12, Hebr 9;14.
10. The POWER and the GLORY
For thine is the Kingdom the POWER and the glory. That is our prayer. That everything we do in POWERHOUSE may demonstrate his POWER, bring glory to God and benefit his Kingdom not only locally but all over the world. Matt 6;13
